Life Balance and Self Care

Lesson 1

  • Reflect on the various areas where you need to take care of yourself more; evaluating practical self-care measures of physical appearance, health, physical environment, time management, energy levels, emotional needs, and more.

  • Use the goal-setting exercise called the wheel of life which helps you identify the area(s) that are most important to you.

  • Set priorities and begin to work on a weekly plan that includes managing your energy.

Lesson 2

  • Learn why accountability is so important in helping you reach your goals.

  • Develop a “Saying No” plan. If you want things to be different, then you will need to do things differently. And while you can't change everything at once, it's important to start somewhere.

  • Figure out what is zapping your energy and how to get it back.

  • Develop a plan for those things you need to let go of.

  • Determine what relationships are toxic to you and generate strategies for dealing with them.

  • Set priorities and begin to work on a weekly plan that includes managing your energy, saying no, establishing healthy relationships, and balancing activities you enjoy and find productive.
