INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Winchendon Community Connection and Access Program (CCAP). Our program, operated by the Winchendon Council on Aging (COA) and the Winchendon Community Action Committee (CAC), aims to provide reliable and accessible transportation for all residents of Winchendon. Your role as a driver is crucial in helping us achieve our mission of enhancing mobility for those who lack access to a vehicle, enabling them to reach jobs, medical appointments, and essential services.

Mission Statement

The Need

The CCAP program was established through a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in response to a critical need within our community. Residents of Winchendon without access to a car have virtually no access to jobs, medical/health appointments, and basic needs, including food at the nearest grocery store.

Mobility is critical to health, well-being, and economic empowerment. This transportation program is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to transportation for all Winchendon residents, particularly those who do not have access to a personal vehicle. By providing a dependable and sustainable transportation solution, we aim to enhance the quality of life for Winchendon residents.

Who We Serve

The Winchendon Community Connection and Access Program (CCAP) is committed to serving all residents of Winchendon who require transportation assistance. Our goal is to ensure that every resident has access to safe, reliable transportation for a variety of needs, including medical appointments, commuting to work, and attending social events. We strive to eliminate transportation barriers and enhance the quality of life for our community by providing comprehensive ride services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our residents.

Our Drivers

The success of the Winchendon Community Connection and Access Program (CCAP) is made possible by our dedicated team of professional drivers. Each driver plays a crucial role in ensuring that our transportation services are safe, reliable, and compassionate.
